Excel Record Viewer is a client-side web application. All file parsing and editing happen locally inside your browser. We do not upload, store, or process your file contents on our servers.
Your uploaded Excel or CSV file is read into your browser memory for viewing and editing. We do not retain copies of your file on any remote server.
Any edits or new records are kept in the browser session. To persist changes outside your device you must use the Export feature — that creates a downloadable file (ExcelViewer_Export_YYYY-MM-DD.xlsx) and is delivered to your browser's downloads folder.
We use Google Analytics for anonymous visit metrics. We do not send file contents, only anonymized usage data. You can opt out by blocking analytics scripts or using privacy extensions.
